- Many degree programmes are delivered in English

Why Study in Finland?
Finland is globally recognized for its exceptional education system, high quality of life, and safety. The country places a strong emphasis on innovation, research, and technology, making it an ideal destination for forward-thinking students.
Finnish institutions focus on student-centered learning, encouraging independent thought, problem-solving, and practical application of knowledge in a highly modern and egalitarian society.
The Dual Education System
Higher education in Finland is divided into two sectors:
1. Universities (Yliopisto): Focus on scientific research and highly academic education. Ideal for those pursuing theoretical knowledge and academic research.
2. Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS / Ammattikorkeakoulu): Offer professionally oriented higher education closely tied to working life and regional development. These programs often include practical training and industry projects.
Admissions and Tuition Fees
Applications are typically managed centrally through the national portal, Studyinfo.fi. Many UAS programs require applicants to pass an entrance examination or submit standardized test scores.
While higher education is free for EU/EEA citizens, international students from outside the EU/EEA are required to pay tuition fees for English-taught bachelor's and master's programs. However, Finnish universities offer generous scholarship schemes to help cover these costs.
